If you have read my mission here, or are familiar with the State of the Spark, then you know it is my ultimate goal to get people to a place where they are affecting significantly-improved conditions for people around the world.

In summary, we help people spark their dream, ignite their passions to succeed, and ultimately launch their life to significance. Success is great. It is very important for most of us to feel successful most of the time. Read more about what success means to the citizens of State of the Spark.

But significance is what I am really interested in.
It is what the citizens of the Spark are interested in.
It keeps me awake at night knowing that there are people who feel alone and lonely, unloved, and insignificant.

(Can you think of any one in particular you know who deals with this? I sure can. Maybe its a friend or family member or co-worker. From our transformational development work in Haiti, I know of several by name who are dealing with disease, no work or food, and general hopelessness.)

Sparking to Significance

Significance happens when a sparked individual feels successful and helps others feel successful as well. I try to help people succeed so that they can launch into significance as soon as possible. The goal of SotS is to activate & equip, motivate & inspire the citizens of this explosive state to do so as well.

I believe quality of life improves exponentially when sparked individuals help spark others; when people help others succeed. That is living a life of significance.

Offering the Gifts

Many of you probably know this. Many of you are probably involved in a non-profit, or have at some time. You may be yearning to make a difference. When I asked if you could think of anyone who felt insignificant, you may have through of a few people. You may have thought of one, or you may have thought of ten, but you knew you needed to make a difference.
