Car wreck 2: Abundant Resolution

I am writing you from here in Hilton Head, South Carolina. I am waking up in a beautiful house with two intelligent Labradors, overlooking a golf course with tall thin pine trees and manicured putting greens. There are golfers on the green across the yard, chatting seriously with moments of familiar jests.

Over the last 24 hours I have met with Southern hospitality that I rarely see in Florida. I have had sweet potato corn bread and sweet potato cheese cake at Roasted Chicken & Cornbread, and amazing local restaurant with a funky flavor. I have met Marissa’s family with great welcome, enjoying the company of each one of them for different reasons. We finished the evening walking the beach, visiting Java Joe’s, the local eclectic coffee shop, and Japanese hibachi grilled dinner.

All in all, I am feeling quite blessed.

I have been hugely blessed, and I only relay all of the above to communicate the shear small delights I have had on this awesome island. I only wish I could stay longer, visit my friends near by, and enjoy the pace here.

This is a brief blog following up with the Social Impact of Awareness, my first entry regarding the car accident. I discussed how detrimental it is for society when people go through life not paying attention.

As much as I would like to explore that further, I prefer to focus on the simplest, smallest act that can unwind not only lack of attentiveness but most all of societal issues.

It is the act of philanthropia; loving and caring for our fellow man and woman, and how an amazing couple turned my car wreck into a season of kindness and blessing in my life with vast ripple effects.
