Book: Unwritten Volume 1 Tommy Taylor and the Bogus Identity

Ok, so shoot me: I like to read comics. (‘Graphic Novels’, thank-you-very-much.) I actually LOVE comics. Or, really good ones at least.

After I was introduced to ‘Watchmen’ in the mid-to-late ’90s’s, ‘V for Vendetta’ shortly after that, and then the Superman series, ‘Kingdom Come’, I was hooked. (Not to mention that my dad brought home a comic or two every week!)

I like the balance between (good) writing and (good) visuals. Have I mentioned that I am a visual person?

Why I Bought This Comic: After flipping through it, I fell in love with the conspiratorial plot around authors through the ages.

I recommend it: A) IF you are not a graphic novel hater, and B) you enjoy decent writing. I am excited to find out where this unique plot will take me.

The visuals are not the best, though creative and thoughtful.

Brain Candy: Yes.

Intellectual: Slightly.

Life-Altering: Probably not.

Fun read: Absolutely. BAM!
